1. How can I get to Tivoli EcoResort Praia do Forte? How long does the journey take?
The hotel is 80 km north of Salvador-Baía and 55Km (north) of Salvador International Airport. Access is along the Estrada do Côco road (South-North direction) and along the Linha Verde – Green Line (North-South direction).
The hotel has a reception service for guests provided by the agency Gu & Guiba. This agency operates a transfer from Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport, in Salvador, to the hotel
The transfer takes around one hour.

2. What types of room are available and what are they like? How many people can they hold?
We have five categories of apartments: Suite, De Luxe, Master Plus, Master, Standard Plus and Standard. All categories are double occupancy and 50% of our apartments have King Size beds and the other 50% have twin beds. Master Plus has two queen size beds.

3. Are there any adjoining rooms?
Yes, we have adjoining rooms in the Master, Standard Plus and Standard categories. If you require adjoining rooms, please ask when reserving.

4. What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 14.00 onwards and check-out is up to 12.00. Guests who have flights after 12.00 can check-out and then leave bags at reception. The hotel’s facilities can be used up to the time of your transfer.

5. Does the hotel operate the "Day Use" system? Can guests receive visitors?
We do not have the "Day Use" system. Our aim is to provide the best quality of service possible to guests. Guests needing to receive visitors should contact reception and visits may take place in the reception area. Visitors are not allowed to remain in the hotel.

6. Are there any activities for children?
Yes. The Careta-Careta Club, open all year, is exclusively for group activities for kids from 4 to 11 years old. This club runs ecological outings, art workshops, nature activities, games, theatre, educational talks and other alternatives to keep children entertained.  Children less than 4 years old can take part in the activities as long as they are accompanied by an adult or a babysitter. Babysitters can be arranged by contacting reception. 
All group activities in the club are supervised by monitors.  Ecological outings are to areas outside the hotel and environmental specialists /biologists accompany the children.

7. Is there anywhere where I can prepare food for the baby?
Yes. The Baby Copa is a room equipped and reserved for parents wishing to prepare food for babies. We have fruit, tea, milk and a selection of cereals available all day. In addition to this service, the hotel also offers delicious soup from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 18.00 to 20.00.  The Baby Copa operates 24 hours a day and is a free service.

8. Do you have cots?
Yes, the Hotel can provide a cot. Please ask when booking.

9. Do you have Baby Sitting services?
Yes. The hotel has trained Baby Sitters. This service has an additional cost. Please ask for details when booking.

10. What leisure activities are available for adults?
The hotel has a wide range of activities, such as: art workshops, games, dance, fitness, competitions, shows, etc. For a full list of activities, visit the sections on Sports and Trips.

11. What water sports are available?
Those who appreciate water sports have several opportunities to enjoy the wonderful sea of Praia do Forte: optimist sailing, windsurfing, laser sailing, kayaking, boards, equipment for snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, motorboat ride, banana boat, scuba diving, river fishing with rods, laser sailing lessons, windsurfing lessons, optimist lessons and diving lessons. Services with additional cost.

12. How many swimming pools are there at the hotel?
The hotel has 5 swimming pools for adults and 3 for children. There are also 1 swimming pool in Thalasso Spa.

13. What trips are included with accommodation at the hotel?

Some of the trips are free, a conservation fee is charged for others which goes to helping preserve local flora and fauna. 

14. Is it possible to see whales from the beach? When does this take place?
There is a boat trip organized by the Baleia Jubarte Institute.  On this trip you will be able to see humpback whales and gain an insight into the research project to protect whales on the Praia do Forte coast.  The best time to make this trip is from August to October.

15. Is it possible to go diving at Praia do Forte?
Yes. The Water Sports Centre has equipment available for diving. You can also take a diving course with training in the pool and sea, full equipment and specialized instructors.  This course is also available for children from 7 years old. Divers are always accompanied by an instructor, even in the case of license holders. Please book in advance. This service is charged extra.

16. Can Jet Skis be used?
No. The use of Jet Skis is not allowed at Praia do Forte. 

17. Does the hotel have a gymnasium?
Yes, the Fitness Center is equipped with the latest generation equipment and offers classes in spinning and stretching. The personal trainning service is charged extra.

18. What night time entertainment is available for guests?
The hotel runs different programmes every night of the week and where getting to know people and fun are the main aims. Activities include: dancing, musical shows, folklore, etc.

19. What is the voltage at the hotel?
220V, but the hotel has transformers available to convert to 110V which are available on request.

20. Do mobile phones work at the hotel?
The hotel is located within a cellular analogical and digital network. Guests may bring their own phone chargers. It is also possible to leave your phone at reception for charging.

21. Can l use my laptop in the room?
Yes. Laptops and notebooks can be used in rooms as long as they work at 220V or are compatible with a 110V output transformer.
The telephones in all rooms have a dataport which provides Internet access. Master Spa apartments have broad band Internet which can be directly connected to guests’ computers.

22. Does the hotel have Internet services?
Yes. The hotel has a Business Center with computers and a broad band connection. Guests can also access the wireless Internet connection in the Business Center with their own computers. These services are charged extra.

23. Does the hotel have medical services?
Yes. The hotel has a 24 hour nurse service. A medical team is also available for appointments and first aid. This service is charged extra.

24. What is the climate like at Praia do Forte?
The climate is tropical and the average annual temperature is 26ºC. The air is dry and there is no smell of the sea.
In summer, during the period from December to May, the climate is drier and the temperature varies between 22º and 28ºC. During winter, from April to June, there are occasional rain showers. Winter temperature is between 20º and 26ºC.

25. How many restaurants are there at the hotel?
The hotel has 4 restaurants

26. What type of food is served in hotel restaurants?
The menu is quite varied and consists of some of the best international and regional cuisine available. There is also an extensive choice of desserts.

27. Do the restaurants also serve light options?
Yes. You can choose from grilled red and white meat dishes, fresh fish and a wide selection of salads, dressings and desserts, perfect for all those interested in healthy eating.

28. Are there many insects?
As the hotel lies within a coastal region with extensive vegetation, lakes and rivers, some insects are inevitable. However, there is always a pleasant sea breeze which keeps the majority of bugs and insects away. Anyone suffering from allergies is advised to bring repellent.  All rooms are also equipped with insecticide and mosquito nets. There is also air conditioning. 

29. Is it possible to arrive by helicopter or small plane?
The nearest airport is Luiz Eduardo Magalhães International Airport located in Salvador, about 50km from the hotel.
